What are examples of the problems we aim to solve with a competition?
Rising healthcare costs are a widespread phenomenon, affecting employers and users in the US, the UK and beyond.
The call for cost-saving innovations is becoming increasingly clear, and several good examples have already emerged. Effective medicines that reduce the risk of serious illness, complications or emergency situations have the potential to save enormous amounts of money, particularly when combined with systems that ensure patients adhere to recommended usage guidelines. Studies have proven the cost-effective nature of new diabetes, Alzheimer’s and heart failure medicines. Alternative service methods such as eHealth and telemedicine can also save on costs.
